The EndGame development process

At EndGame we love designing, planning and building great products leveraging our skills in rapid productisation, business architecture and Software as a Service operations. Every project we do is an opportunity to invest, to learn, and to do better than last time. We love to dream big, to know what’s possible, but to thrive on what’s impossible.

We know you love your business too. Here’s how we can help you.

Over the years we’ve learned that the best way to run successful software projects is to work in regular short cycles, called sprints. The number of sprints in a project depends on the size of the project. Each sprint is like a 1 – 2 week mini project. There is time between each sprint for review and further planning. Sprints allow us to easily respond to change, to have a high visibility of project progress, and to deliver the most valuable work to your business first. But perhaps the greatest advantage is the communication flow between you and EndGame. We want you hands on involved in the process, playing with the product, prioritising work and making sure that, together, we’re building a solution that helps your business grow.

Each sprint will have a fixed price and a goal that we both agree on. We will plan out the work involved in each sprint ahead of time, and carefully ensure that we release a high value increment of software.

The deliverables will be agreed and designed during the planning period of each sprint, with acceptance criteria being set at the time. The deliverables of a sprint are not fixed. This allows for priorities to change as you use the software. Each sprint will result in a working release that has been designed, developed, tested and documented. You can use the period between sprints to review, user test, and give feedback before the next sprint begins.

This also means that you can speed up or slow down (or stop!) the project between sprints and you’ll always have working software.

Software development is complex. We work the way we do so we can pro-actively mitigate quality, budget, time, and product fit risks. Any problems are detected early and we address them together.

There are factors in addition to development that you need to consider too. Application hosting, maintenance, and support are all part of a successful project. We can help with that too.
